This article reviews the features of maps.
Basic Features
Maps are a valuable tool for determining the exact locations of entities or other features. For example, the user can use a map to display specific bus routes for a school or to pinpoint the location of a well within a specific basin.
To view maps, click on Maps in the Navigation Panel.
The map will display all entities in the workspace.
To refine the entities or highlight specific areas, use the filters at the top of the map.
Entities - Select a specific data set to view on the map.
Color - Color the data sets by functionality, i.e., by operator.
Size - Change the view of the data set to show size, i.e., production. The more a well produces, the larger the circle.
Height - Similar to size, the larger the signal the greater the size.
Scope - View data within a certain date range, time step, and aggregation.
Example
This map has been filtered by color to show operators and by size to show production rate. Notice that wells in West Texas have a greater production rate than other wells in this workspace.
The map legend at the bottom right displays the color definitions.
