Lesson 10: Create a Hierarchy
A hierarchy is a way to group entities. For instance, by route, formation, or owner.

Build a Hierarchy
A hierarchy groups the wells together. In order to group the wells, a parent entity will need to be created.
- Navigate to Entities.
- Select "Add Entity."
- Enter the following information:
Name: Haynesville Field
Entity Type: Field
- Select "Save."
- Use the back arrow to go to the Entity list.
- Use the drop-down List on "Add Entity" to "Add New Hierarchy."
- Use the name "Well Hierarchy."
- Select the Root Entity to "Haynesville Field."
- Select "Save."
- Click the green plus next to the Field.
Select "Select All."
Notice all 169 wells are selected.
Select "Add."
Notice that there are now 170 entities to include 1 field and 169 wells.
Select "Save."
